New Systems & Security

The BA and IT teams have been working on improving security and migrating data to updated systems.

The migration from SiSense to Tableau is entering the final stage, with completion planned for the end of November. All SiSense reports have been developed in Tableau and the BA team is working with business stakeholders to confirm the information.

The SalesForce Lightning upgrade preparation work has been completed through collaboration across departments. The team plans to roll it out to LIVE over the next quarter.

On the informatics side, the release of the new IAMQC Infinity version includes updates such as:

      • Display of peer statistics in Levey-Jennings charts and on statistics tab
      • Inclusion of actions and comments in report outputs
      • Improvement in instrument identification displays

The MSDRx Infinity UAT (User Acceptance Testing) is nearing completion and validation test plans have been drafted for approval.

The IT operations team has completed the new Windows 10 build, which is Azure AD joined and allows for an automated installation using Autopilot. They have made good progress on removing Windows 7 and piloting migrations to the Bastion network.

A number of other migrations have also taken place. The team has migrated legacy SeraCare Next-Gen Sequencing data to LGC infrastructure and IFS Development & Test systems to new hardware on Oracle 19. The Paragon and Safefood PC and MS 365 integrations are also complete.

To improve security, the team has blocked cloud apps that are at high risk of data leakage. Continuous Vulnerability Management capability has been established with the deployment of the Qualys tooling and the team has implemented an “Immutable backup” solution to further enhance cyber controls.
