Spirit Committee

The Clinical Diagnostics Spirit Committee has carried out a number of employee appreciation lunches and community events over the past few months, including holiday desk drops, donation drives, and photo contests. The Committee is always looking for fresh ideas and volunteers to help plan future events. If you are interested or would like to get your site involved, email cherie.porter@lgcgroup.com.

In February, Cumberland Foreside hosted a Flannel Friday grilled cheese and soup luncheon with volunteer chefs Joe Grant, Ryan Raftery, and Todd Anderson.

To coincide with the Super Bowl, Gaithersburg held a “Souper’ Bowl of Caring” Food collection for their local food bank. The Maine and Massachusetts sites held donation drives later that month. Employees in Maine were able to donate 149 items to the drive, and Massachusetts employees pulled together an even bigger haul, sending a total of 316 items to their local community donation center. Huge thanks to all who donated.

Gaithersburg hosted a ribbon cutting event to celebrate their new space later that month.

Spirit Committee members in Maine and Maryland delivered small tokens of appreciation to employees to celebrate the winter holidays.

In keeping with LGC’s commitment to environmentally-friendly policies, the Spirit Committee in Cumberland Foreside has also been working to improve recycling practices. Huge thanks to Lena Farrin for her hard work in making these improvements happen.

More employee appreciation and community events are planned for FY23. Thank you to all involved!
